LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville wide receiver Doug Beaumont is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
Coach Charlie Strong says the senior underwent knee surgery last week after injured the knee during a 35-28 loss to Oregon State on Sept. 18.
Beaumont recorded 121 yards against the Beavers, and has 16 receptions for 244 yards on the season. He scored the first touchdown of his career in a win over Eastern Kentucky earlier this season.
Strong says he is confident receivers Josh Bellamy, Andrell Smith, and tight end Cameron Graham will be able to step in for Beaumont when Louisville (1-2) travels to Arkansas State (1-2) on Saturday.
