Casino guest is allegedly robbed by 2 women in Region 8

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – Two women are in jail after allegedly robbing a man of his casino winnings.

According to the Caruthersville Police Department, a 24-year-old and a 48-year-old female were arrested following an alleged robbery.

The Caruthersville Police Department says officers were dispatched to Casino Inn and Suites on Tuesday morning in response to a robbery. There they talked to guest who said approximately $11,000 in cash and casino chips were taken from him by two Asian women, and described the women's vehicle.

Officers stopped the vehicle and say they found $12,904.50 in casino chips and cash as well a small amount of marijuana inside.

The younger female is being held in the Pemiscot county Jail for possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. The older female was released pending review of a case by the Pemiscot County prosecuting Attorney's Office.
