SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - Chelsea Hornbeck, goalkeeper for the Harding University soccer team, has been named Defender of the week in the Gulf South Conference for the second time this season.
Hornbeck, a native of Klamath Falls, Ore., had 18 saves and only allowed three goals during the past week. She had nine saves in a 2-1 victory of Alabama-Huntsville last Friday, five against Northeastern State and three against Delta State.
She is only the third goalkeeper in Harding history to receive the award and the only defender to receive the award four times.
The Lady Bisons will be back in action Friday as they host Lambuth at 4 p.m.
