ASU advisory committee makes recommendation

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - ASU is a step closer to having its' vacant president's seat filled.

Thursday morning the presidential search advisory committee met behind closed doors to review and discuss all 13 applicants in detail.

The latest application came in on Thursday from Dr. Mark Drummond who currently serves as provost at the Higher Colleges of Technology, United States Emirates. This according to a press release from the school.

The committee meeting is a chance for them to recommend their favorite candidates to the official ASU board of trustees.

However, the trustees will make the final decision.

Potentially the board has the freedom to choose a candidate the advisory board didn't even recommend.

ASU's privacy policy is keeping officials from announcing who made the committee's list.

Just as soon as we get those names we'll pass them along to you.
