Waco, TX (Baylor) - The Big 12 Conference has announced its 2010-11 women's basketball telecast schedule on the ESPN family of networks. The Baylor Lady Bears will play a league-best five regular season league games on ESPN channels including hosting a first-ever Big Monday contest.
The Lady Bears will play two non-conference games on ESPN2, traveling to Hartford, Conn., to play two-time defending national champion Connecticut (Tuesday, Nov. 16, 5 p.m.) and hosting Tennessee (Tuesday, Dec. 14, 6 p.m.). Baylor's game at Oklahoma State has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. to enable ESPNU to broadcast the contest.
Baylor will host its first-ever Big Monday contest when it welcomes Texas A&M to the Ferrell Center on Feb. 14. The Lady Bears' final regular-season ESPN game will be at Oklahoma on Sunday, Feb. 27. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Baylor will make five appearances on the ESPN family of networks while Texas A&M and Oklahoma each appear three times, Texas and Iowa State will each be shown twice and Oklahoma State and Kansas State make one appearance each.
Baylor has added another game to its overall television schedule, bringing the Lady Bears' total regular-season appearances to 10. BU's home game against Minnesota, as part of the Big 6 Challenge on Sunday, Dec. 5, has been picked up by FOX Sports Southwest and has been moved to 1 p.m.
