Vancouver, BC (KAIT) - The BC Lions have added five players to the team's practice roster. Each season, CFL practice rosters expand from a maximum of seven players (five import players) to a maximum of 12 players (ten import players) for 30 days, ending on Thursday, November 4th.
ASU alum Daylan Walker was one of the five signed. Walker was in training camp with the Atlanta Falcons before being released. He was a four-year letterman on the ASU football team from 2006-09.
Walker was named All-Sun Belt Conference at the conclusion of his senior season in 2009. He ranked 48th in the SBC in tackles (4.2 tpg) and tied for seventh in passes defended (0.67 per game). He posted multiple tackles in every game, including a season-high eight against Iowa, and recorded four tackles for loss from his cornerback position.
The Milan, TN native ended his stellar career with 152 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions and 16 pass break-ups. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week during the 2008 season that saw him register a career-best 65 tackles. He also recorded a career-high 10 tackles in ASU's game against Tennessee during his sophomore campaign.
