Arkansas among SEC offense, defense leaders

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Eleventh-ranked Arkansas is second in the Southeastern Conference in total offense, and the Razorback defense is ranked third in points allowed.

Arkansas has averaged 468 yards per game, second only to Auburn, and has a league-leading average of 7.6 yards per play. The Razorbacks, led by quarterback Ryan Mallett, lead the SEC in passing with an average of 365 yards per game.

One area in which Arkansas doesn't stack up so well is rushing. Arkansas is last in the 12-team conference with an average 103 yards per game. Auburn leads the league in rushing with an average of 269 yards per game.

Arkansas steps out of SEC play on Saturday to take on Texas A&M at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
