Region 8 parents are saving money

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-Raising kids can be expensive, but one Region 8 business is working to help you save a buck!

The eleventh semi-annual Popsicles Kids Consignment event is underway at the Northeast Arkansas District Fairgrounds.

Julie Reidhar, Co-owner of Popsicles, says they hold this event once every spring and fall to help customers save money.

"We're keeping down the cost of growing up. To buy for kids and buy their clothing is very expensive and the added expense of prices rising everywhere. You can find your items here for the third of cost you would find in retail."

And the items shoppers find will be in good shape.

"A lot of the items are new or barely used. We try to have only the very best."

You can find items from baby to Junior size clothing, books, toys, equipment. Anything you can think of that you could need or use for a child.

Beth Grimes is the proud mother of two and a regular shopper of the kids consignment shop.

This is her fourth year to attend Popsicles Kids Consignment sale.

She says bringing up two kids is a lot of hard work in more ways than one!

"It's very expensive raising two kids and anytime you get a chance to save money, you should take advantage of it."

Beth continues to keep coming back and says other mothers out there should do the same.

"Come and save money and try to find bargains. They've got a great selection of stuff this year and it's even bigger this year than it has been in the four years I've been here."

This is a three day event that starts on Thursday and ends on Saturday.

Saturday is also "half price day" on all items left to sell.
