2 killed, 4 injured in one vehicle accident in Region 8

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KAIT) – Two passengers die in a vehicle accident in Pemiscot County on Sunday.

According to Missouri State Trooper F. L. Butler, Joshua Eady, 17, of Haslett MI and Whitney Eady, 22, of Lansing, MI were killed in a one vehicle accident at 8: 19 a.m.

Missouri State crash records indicate that a 2003 Mercury SUV driven by Aretha Eady, 45, of Haslett, MI was passing another vehicle, overcorrected, ran off the roadway on I-55 at the 2.4 mile marker, and overturned. Three of the occupants were ejected from the SUV.

Aretha Eady and two other passengers—Charles Eady, 47, of Lansing, MI and Charles Eady, 21, of Haslett, MI—were listed in serious condition. A sixth passenger, Sophia A. Nash, 24, of Lansing, MI was listed in moderate condition.

Joshua and Whitney Eady were pronounced dead at the scene by the Pemiscot County Coroner.
