JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A motorcyclist was killed in an early morning accident in north Jonesboro Tuesday morning.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, 24-year-old Brent Hopkins was killed after police say he ran a red light and hit a beverage truck.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene and started to Hopkins to the Med in Memphis, but had to land at NEA where he was pronounced dead.
Witness Dannique Snow says, "The motorcycle...I guess he was trying to beat the light. The Pepsi truck was turning and he ran into the back of the truck. He hit head first and flew off his motorcycle and laid in the street and laid sideways. He didn't move...not one single time."
