Sikeston man arrested after shooting at a vehicle

SIKESTON, MO (KAIT) - Last Friday night a Sikeston man was driving down Virginia Road when someone shot at his car.

The man's vehicle was shot at approximately five times. One of those bullets injured the driver's left leg.

The driver said the shots came from the driver of another vehicle that was traveling through the intersection. He believes the shooter is someone who had personal problems with him.

The driver was then taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

According to police, later that night, the suspect turned himself in where he was then arrested and charged.

The suspect has been identified as Calvin Grayson of Sikeston. Grayson was charged with attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

He was given a $25,000 gash bond and remains in custody at the Scott County Jail awaiting his arraignment.
