OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi coach Houston Nutt says
starting right guard Logan Clair will miss "five or six weeks"
because of a chipped bone in his ankle suffered during the team's
23-10 loss to No. 8 Alabama on Saturday.
Clair, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound junior, was promoted to the
starting lineup early in the season after moving from tackle to
guard. Nutt said Clair's strength was an asset, particularly in the
Rebels' running game.
Clair's possible replacements include three freshmen - A.J.
Hawkins, Jared Duke and Emmanuel McCray.
Ole Miss (3-3, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) travels to face No.
21 Arkansas (4-2, 1-2) on Saturday.
