Former UALR runner wins San Francisco Marathon

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Leah Thorvilson, a former crossd

country runner for Arkansas-Little Rock, has won the San Francisco


Thorvilson finished the 26.2-mile run on Sunday in a record time

of 2:46.:42. She completed the race nearly 10 minutes ahead of her

nearest competitor.

The two-time Little Rock Marathon winner has already qualified

for the Olympic Trials in the marathon with a time of 2:41.52 at

the Fargo Marathon in Fargo, N.D.
