Two arrested during routine traffic stop

CROSS COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Two people are arrested in Cross County during a routine traffic stop on Thursday.

The Cross County Sheriff's Department says Charles M. Irwin, 51, of England, AR and Ginger Tinkle, 43, of Des Arc, AR were arrested after officers found meth in their vehicle.

Irwin was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tinkle was charged with driving left of center, having a cracked windshield, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Both have a bond set at $5,000 each.

Deputies Cord Walker and Allen Clanton were the investigating officers.
