Rams' Jackson closing in on career rushing record

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Only 32 yards to go, and Steven Jackson will pass Eric Dickerson for the St. Louis Rams' career rushing record.

It should be a formality Sunday at Tampa Bay for the 2-time Pro Bowl running back. Jackson's coming off consecutive 100-yard games, and he's feeling like himself again after a bothersome groin strain earlier in the year.

It's also a point of pride for the Rams' offensive line to get him to the milestone.

Jackson has 507 yards rushing through six games this season.

He passed Marshall Faulk earlier this year for second place on the Rams' career rushing list, and he's closing in on Dickerson's mark of 7,245 yards.
