BATESVILLE, Ark. (HU) – The scoring drought continued for the Harding men's soccer team Thursday. The Bisons failed to score for the third consecutive game and fell 3-0 to Lyon in non-conference action.
Lyon (8-4-1) scored a pair of goals in the first half. Serhiy Zhykin scored in the seventh minute and Martel Reid-Warden made it a two-goal advantage in the 34th minute.
Spencer Smith added the third goal for Lyon in the 81st minute.
Harding (2-11-0) has not scored a goal since Cameron Rose's tally against Hendrix on Oct. 12, a span of more than 300 minutes.
The good news for the Bisons is that none of the last three games were Gulf South Conference contests. Their next game is. Harding takes on Christian Brothers on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Memphis. A win could send Harding to the GSC Tournament.
