ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (KAIT) – A former resident of Cotter, AR is arrested in Louisiana on outstanding warrants thanks to woman's tip to police on Monday morning.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office says a woman calling from the State of Louisiana said she saw another woman in her area on the Baxter County Sheriff's website who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The woman provided specific information as to where to find Amy Ann Lear, 42, of Covington, LA.

Sheriff Montgomery says he contacted the sheriff's office in St. Tammany Parish and passed along the information. By Monday afternoon, Lear was arrested on felony charges of revocation of a suspended sentence on an original conviction for breaking or entering, theft of property, and criminal trespass.

Lear is currently being held without bail pending her return to Baxter County.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Louisiana authorities involved in the arrest, and the woman who called in the tip.
