Jonesboro (ASU) — The Arkansas State women's basketball program will host its annual "Evening Out with the Red Wolves" Friday, Oct. 29 at the ASU Convocation Center.
The event, for girls in first through seventh grades, is scheduled to run from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Girls attending the Evening Out will have the opportunity to eat dinner with the 2010-11 Red Wolves women's basketball team, play games and meet the Red Wolves' coaches and staff members. Prizes will be awarded throughout the night, and all girls attending will receive a t-shirt.
"In past years this has been a great event for our program and for the community," said ASU head coach Brian Boyer. "I have a team full of positive role models so I am confident in once again hosting this event. This is a great opportunity for the girls in Northeast Arkansas to come out and spend the evening getting to know our athletes. This is four hours of fun for all the girls that attend, and it is a chance for the parents to enjoy a Friday night while we entertain their daughters."
The cost for the Evening Out is $10, and supervision will be provided by the Red Wolves coaching staff and players. A security officer will be on duty as well. For more information or to register, contact assistant coach Leslie Larsen at 870-972-3637.
