Lyon routs Williams Baptist 7-1 Monday afternoon

Walnut Ridge, AR (Lyon) - The Lyon College Scots erupted for a season-high seven goals in a 7-1 rout of Williams Baptist College on Monday afternoon in a nonconference match.

Lyon (11-4-1) has won three straight and has only allowed one goal in those three wins. The Scots have scored a school-record 43 goals this season and have been on a tear since Sept. 25th, winning seven of their last eight.

Seven different Scots scored goals in the game with freshman Martel Reid-Warden leading the way with a goal and two assists. Reid-Warden has scored a school-record 12 goals and a school-record 12 assists this season. Bill Jeffries added a goal and an assist.

Lyon's Gueorgui Tchamkoriyski, Nelson Pacheco, Kyle Talley and Lance Alpuerto also scored a goal each in the contest. Robert Hall also had an assist for the Scots.

Scots' goalkeeper Thomas Guarino earned the win and stopped four shots in 90 minutes of play.

Lyon wraps up regular-season play on Saturday at home against TranSouth Conference front-runner Bethel University. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Huser Field.
