SE Missouri holds highest rank in school history

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Southeast Missouri State's Redhawks hold the highest football ranking in the school's history.

The Redhawks are No. 11 this week in both The Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision poll and the FCS coaches' poll. That's up two spots in each poll from last week.

Southeast Missouri is 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference, riding a 7-game winning streak for the first time in 35 years.

The Redhawks and second-ranked Jacksonville State are the only ranked teams from the OVC.

Southeast Missouri hosts Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.
