KENNETT, MO (KAIT)- A month long investigation of copper thefts in Dunklin County has yielded two arrests.
Steven L. Bowen and Brandy S. Torres-Cruz are accused of stealing copper wire and pivots from area irrigation systems with a value of at least five hundred dollars. Dunklin County Sheriff's Deputies made the arrests Monday and Tuesday the two appeared court.
Bond was set at $2,500 for Torres-Cruz while Bowen is being held on a $25,000 bond. Both are to appear in court on November 2nd.
According to the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office additional charges may be filed as the investigation reveals more copper thefts and there may also be additional arrests.
