JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A local hospital worked with Region 8 residents Wednesday to provide them with live-saving knowledge.
A conference was held at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. The conference dealt with the symptoms of stroke and what action should be taken if you see someone suffering a stroke.
This event was sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and was open to the public.
Michael Jadwin of Paragould High School brought a number of students to attend the conference and says the information they're learning is important.
"We're learning about the importance of taking action, immediate action. Whenever you see the signs of a stroke is what we're also learning. Once you see those symptoms try and act on those as quickly as you can get them medical attention," Jadwin said.
This conference was held at twenty hospitals across the state of Arkansas.
