Final Weekend for Voter Push

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- With the election night Nov. 2nd quickly approaching representatives with the First Congressional District candidates Chad Causey and Rick Crawford are hitting the campaign trail hard this weekend.

"Yesterday, we had over 55 canvassers out. We have people that are making phone calls. We're just trying to reach as many contacts are we can to remind people of the importance of this election," says Martin.

"Chad went out with the mind set that he wanted to earn the vote of every single person that he possibly could. He spent the entire campaign traveling, meeting, and talking with as many people as possible. The past two weeks have been no different," says Martin.

While over at the Republican Headquarters, representatives with the Rick Crawford Campaign have been working just as hard to encourage voters to head to the polls. "This is our last final get out to vote push," says Catherine Vasilos, who is the Communication Director for the State Republican Party.

"We've knocked on thousands of doors statewide, we've made thousands of phone calls, here at our Jonesboro office we made over 5,000 phone call just yesterday," says Vasilos. "It's very important that we make the direct voter contact so that they know we will continue working hard after Tuesday," says Vasilos.
