Truck slams into Region 8 home; ASP investigating

IMBODEN, AR (KAIT) –A man is sent to a Region 8 hospital after police say he ran off the road and slammed into the home. Arkansas State Police and Lawrence County Emergency Officials

The accident happened at 201 West 4th Street in Imboden at about 3pm.

According to Arkansas State Police, Lawrence County Emergency Officials responded to an accident after a truck ran off the road, plowed through a field and slammed into the home. Police say the man was going west on Highway 62 and for some reason ran off the road.

Emergency officials transported the man to a local hospital; his condition was not being released. Police did tell Region 8 News that they were testing the driver's blood for alcohol, but did not know if that may have been a factor in the accident.

The home owner, Linda Perrin, called 9-1-1 and was home at the time and was not injured in the accident.

Region 8 News will continue to track this story and will have more updates as soon as they become available.
