3 to interview for Arkansas St. president's post

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State University presidential search advisory committee and members of the board of trustees will interview three candidates for ASU System president. Richard Federinko of Dadeville, Ala., and William Richardson Jr. of Baton Rouge. La., will meet with the committee and board Monday.

Charles Welch of Arkadelphia will be interviewed Tuesday. ASU is looking to replace Leslie Wyatt - who resigned June 30. Search committee chairwoman and board President Florine Milligan told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette she hopes to select a president by Thanksgiving.

Federinko is a retired senior vice chancellor at Troy University; Richardson is chancellor of Louisiana State University's Agricultural Center; Welch is president of Henderson State University.
