Walnut Ridge, AR (WBC) - The Black Rock boys and Pocahontas girls will begin as top seeds in the 2010 Williams Baptist College Tournament. WBC has released the bracket for this year's invitational, which opens Nov. 27.
Black Rock will be defending its championship from last year in the boys' bracket, while Pocahontas was the girls' runner-up in 2009.
On the boys' side, Black Rock, Riverside and Hillcrest are the top three seeds, respectively, and will receive first round byes. They are followed by Viola (4), Pocahontas (5), Hoxie (6), Southside (7), Tuckerman (8), Marmaduke (9), Maynard (10), Corning (11), Walnut Ridge (12) and Sloan-Hendrix (13).
In the girls' bracket, the top four seeds of Pocahontas, Corning, Hillcrest and Southside all get first round byes. Other seeds are Marmaduke (5), Viola (6), Hoxie (7), Walnut Ridge (8), Maynard (9), Tuckerman (10), Black Rock (11) and Sloan-Hendrix (12).
Seeds are selected by a vote of tournament coaches. The Williams Tournament runs through Dec. 4.
