Arkansas man dies when vehicle falls on him

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A Garland County man has died after a scrapped vehicle on which he was working fell on him. Garland County Sheriff's Cpl. Angela Graybeal tells The Sentinel-Record that 41-year-old Roy Franklin Jones had used a front-end loader to raise the vehicle on Friday at a local salvage yard.

Graybeal says Jones had been trying to remove a catalytic converter from the vehicle when the vehicle slid off the loader. She says the vehicle crushed Jones, who had been underneath the car. She says Jones' wife discovered him shortly after noon. The county coroner pronounced Jones dead at the scene.
