JONESBORO, Ark. -- Jonesboro Alderman Alec Farmer says he's glad to know the city has documentation of an inspection of the Justice Complex at 410 West Washington Ave., but would like to see another updated inspection in the near future.

Almost eight years ago, the city of Jonesboro took a supermarket building, and remodeled it to fit the police department, the city attorney's office, and the current city courtroom.

Some people believe it's time for another inspection, especially the people inside.

Monday night Jonesboro City Council members addressed the safety concerns of those who work in the Justice Complex.

With no opposition, the Council approved a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with the building's original structural engineer to conduct a one day inspection of the complex.

Farmer hopes the new measure will allow for a clean "bill of health" for the building.
