Williams Baptist Eagles defeat Central Baptist College 65-59

The men's basketball squad at Williams Baptist College evened up its season record and avenged an earlier loss to Central Baptist College Monday night. The Eagles held off a late charge by CBC to earn the 65-59 win in WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center.

Kyle Harvey continued his standout sophomore season with 25 points to lead all scorers, along with eight rebounds. Alex Garmrath had 13 points, and he also collected eight boards.

The Eagles never trailed in the contest and held a 32-28 edge at the half.

Williams is now 4-4 on the season and will get the rest of the Thanksgiving week off, before traveling to St. Louis next Thursday to take on St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The Eagles will not play at home again until Jan. 13, when they host Crowley's Ridge at 7:00 p.m.
