Two dead, one injured in Wed morning wreck

LEACHVILLE, AR (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police says two Leachville women are killed and Caraway man is injured in a Wednesday morning wreck on the intersection of Highway 18 and 119.

Police report that Carolin H. Oliver, 66, and passenger Christeen Littlefield, 83, were traveling south on Highway 119 in a 2004 Hyundai when the vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2004 Chevy Pick-Up traveling east on Highway 18.  The Sonata struck the Chevy in the side.

Initial crash reports indicate that Oliver and Littlefield were both killed in the accident. The driver of the Chevy, 50-year-old Ronald G. Holt, was taken to St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro for treatment. His current condition is unknown at this time.

All involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The investigating officer was Trooper Moye Hawkins with Arkansas State Troop C.
