The 2010 edition of the Williams Baptist College Tournament is set to begin on Saturday, Nov. 27. The annual high school invitational will run through the following Saturday, Dec. 4, in WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center.

Top seeds for this year's Williams Tourney are the Black Rock boys and Pocahontas girls. Black Rock will be defending its championship from last year in the boys' bracket, while Pocahontas was the girls' runner-up in 2009.

The schedule for Saturday, Nov. 27, with seedings in parentheses, is:

12:00 p.m. - Girls: Marmaduke (5) vs. Sloan-Hendrix (12)

1:20 p.m. - Boys: Viola (4) vs. Sloan-Hendrix (13)

2:40 p.m. - Girls: Viola (6) vs. Black Rock (11)

4:00 p.m. - Boys: Southside (7) vs. Maynard (10)

5:20 p.m. - Girls: Walnut Ridge (8) vs. Maynard (9)

6:40 p.m. - Boys: Hoxie (6) vs. Corning (11)

8:00 p.m. - Girls: Hoxie (7) vs. Tuckerman (10)

Monday's schedule is:

6:00 p.m. - Boys: Tuckerman (8) vs. Marmaduke (9)

7:20 p.m. - Boys: Pocahontas (5) vs. Walnut Ridge (10)

Second round games will be held Tuesday and Thursday nights.

On the boys' side, the top three seeds will receive byes in the first round. The seedings are: Black Rock (1), Riverside (2), Hillcrest (3), Viola (4), Pocahontas (5), Hoxie (6), Southside (7), Tuckerman (8), Marmaduke (9), Maynard (10), Corning (11), Walnut Ridge (12) and Sloan-Hendrix (13).

In the girls' bracket, the top four seeds get first round byes. The seedings are: Pocahontas (1), Corning (2), Hillcrest (3), Southside (4), Marmaduke (5), Viola (6), Hoxie (7), Walnut Ridge (8), Maynard (9), Tuckerman (10), Black Rock (11) and Sloan-Hendrix (12).

Seeds are selected by a vote of tournament coaches.

Admission cost for the Williams Tourney will be $5 general admission and $3 for students.
