City of Jonesboro gets new Chief Operating Officer

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Mayor Harold Perrin announced on Wednesday that LM Duncan will succeed Gary Harpole as Chief Operating Officer.

Duncan will oversee several departments, including parks, sanitation, planning, JETS, code enforcement and E911.

Mayor Perrin cited Duncan's experience and knowledge of municipal government as reasons for his selection.

"I've watched LM over the years and his work ethic and I think he'll have the best interests at heart for the city and the citizens of Jonesboro. I think he'll blend in well with our team," Perrin said.

Until today's announcement, Duncan served as Craighead County Road Superintendent.

Prior to that, he was the mayor of Bono for ten years.
