Fayetteville (UofA) - Arkansas punter Dylan Breeding is one of 55 nominees for the Rudy Award, recognizing "football players who demonstrate exemplary character, courage, contribution and commitment as team members".
Breeding, a sophomore, was nominated by the UA. He is averaging 42.4 yards per punt, including 14 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
Earlier this season Breeding was nominated for the inaugural Burlsworth Trophy, recognizing college football's best player who began his career as a walk-on.
The Rudy Award will be given out on Jan. 11 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. Fans can vote for nominees by visiting CollegeRudyAwards.com.
