Region 8 man survives two shots to chest, police looking for suspect

POPLAR BLUFF (KAIT) – Poplar Bluff police are looking for 32-year-old Jermaine Young of Poplar Bluff for allegedly shooting a man Thursday night.

Police say 35-year-old Jerome Webb of Poplar Bluff was shot at the 2100 block of Woods Street around 10:00, and was rushed to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment. According to investigating officers, Webb and Young were arguing over a mutual girlfriend when Webb was shot in the chest twice.

Young is described as a 5 foot 8 inch tall black male weighing about 230 lbs. Police say he was last seen driving a 2001 white Ford Mustang with Missouri plate number MG8 S9G. He is considered armed and dangerous

Webb is currently in intensive care and had to undergo surgery to fix an artery near his heart and one of his lungs.
