WASHINGTON, DC (KAIT) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Learning Curve Brands Inc. are recalling The First Years American Red Cross Cabinet Swing Locks.
The CPSC says the installed latches could break and allow a child access to items inside the cabinets creating a risk for exposure to hazardous items.
This recall only includes swing locks with item number Y7181. A date code is printed on both the back of the package and on the back side of each latch just above the connection point. Two latches were sold per package from Sept. 2008 to Sept 2010.
For more information, see the recall information on the CSPC website.
