Business helps add to Region 8 school book supply

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT)- One Region 8 School partnered with Barnes and Nobles to raise funds to further help educate their students.  A percentage of sales Saturday at the Barnes and Nobles store went back to Southland Elementary School in Cardwell, MO.

Teachers like Susan Nanke says usually if they don't come out of their own pockets, a lot of times they just won't have the resources to buy books for their own classroom. She says this book fair allows them to do more for their students. "We want to inspire kids to read as much as they can" says Nanke. "The more books we have to interest them and to peak their enthusiasm about it, the better off we are".

If you weren't able to come out Saturday, you can still donate to the school book fair.  Just visit the Barnes and Noble website http://www.barnesandnoble.com/  and as you make your purchase, there will be an option to participate in this book fair.    The donations will stop Wednesday, December 8.
