SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT)- Three air evac helicopters responded to the scene of a major accident on Highway 58 and 63 Dec. 4 in Sharp County.

Arkansas State Police say 20-year-old Zachary Griffin of Vassar, KS was killed in the two vehicle accident on Highway 63 between Hardy and Ravenden. Four other area residents were injured in the accent. Driver Amanda Williams, 24, and passenger one-year-old Madalyn Williams, both of Pocahontas were in the same 2001 Honda Civic as Griffin. Two others, Tessa Wren, 28, of Mountain Home and Joshua Kinkead, 37, of Calico Rock, were in the second vehicle.

Police say William's vehicle crossed the center lane and struck the 2003 Ford F350 carrying Wren and Kinkead head-on; both vehicles landed in the north bound ditch.

Two were transported to The Med in Memphis. One was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. Initial crash reports indicate Amanda and Madalyn Williams were the only two in the crash wearing seatbelts.
