FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Police say they now have a man in custody after finding him hiding behind buses at the Forrest City School Bus Shop on Dawson Road.
Officers say they were on patrol when they saw 27-year-old Elijah Coleman Henderson of Forrest City inside the bus shop on Dec. 7 and went to investigate.
According to police, Henderson jumped the fence and fled on foot to Mann Street when officers surrounded the area and went inside to investigate. Henderson was captured, arrested, and charged with breaking or entering, criminal trespassing, and fleeing. He also had an outstanding bench warrant out of St. Francis County District Court.
Police say nothing appeared to be missing from the shop at the time of the arrest but were notified the mext morning that a fuel tank was drained on one of the buses.
Henderson was processed and taken to St. Francis County Jail pending arraignment.
