JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Wisconsin man is in the Craighead County Jail after police say he stabbed his nephew.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department, Rondale Allen stabbed his nephew Tresvant "TJ" Dority in the abdomen Monday at a home on West Oak Street.

Police didn't release a motive in the stabbing, only that they were called to the home in reference to a person being stabbed. While responding to the scene police noticed a suspicious man jogging away from the area, which later turned out to be Allen.

When police tried to stop and question Allen, he refused verbal commands but was later handcuffed. Police found a steak knife on Allen during the arrest, and Allen told police at that time that he called 9-1-1 and had stabbed his nephew.

Police found Dority lying in the doorway of the home on West Oak Street with a stab wound to the lower left abdomen. A woman was with Dority applying pressure to the wound and told police that his uncle Rondale Allen stabbed him.

Allen has been charged with domestic battery in the first degree, carrying a weapon, and obstructing governmental operations. Allen's bond was set at $100,000 and he's set to appear back in court on December 28.
