MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - Baxter County Sheriff's Office helped officers from the Arkansas Adult Probation and Parole with a home visit December 6th that landed one Region 8 man in jail.
The probationer, Heath Lee of Mountain Home, was arrested after officers went to his home and found several pieces of drug paraphernalia and a "box lab" used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Officers say they had received evidence that Lee's brother, Johnny Ray Lee, who was wanted by authorities, was at the residence.
When police arrived, a third party opened the door stating neither Heath or Johnny Ray were at the residence. It was then that a search turned up the makings of meth in Heath Lee's bedroom.
Along with spoons, syringes and zip lock bags, officers found prescription drugs.
One plastic bag contained a substance believed to be K2, which is illegal to possess in Baxter County.
A follow-up investigation showed that Lee had made several purchases of pseudoephedrine in the previous two months. A warrant for Lee's arrest was then issued and he was spotted and arrested without incident on December 12th.
Heath Lee is charged with felony attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Lee is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 6th.
Johnny Lee was also taken into custody on a fail to appear warrant. He is being held without bond.
