Police: Region 8 woman sells prescription drugs to undercover cops

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 woman is behind bars after police say she sold Xanax to undercover deputies.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Amanda Bean was arrested Wednesday after she sold Xanax and muscle relaxers to undercover deputies.

Police say they responded to a complaint of a woman going around Walnut Ridge trying to sell Xanax pills to people. Sheriff Deputies responded to the area and made contact with Bean who then sold undercover deputies 20 Xanax pills, and threw in come muscle relaxers to "sweeten the deal."

Bean was placed under arrest, and police found several other prescription drugs on Bean.

Bean is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance, and is awaiting bond in the Lawrence County Jail.
