Three vehicle accident in Paragould kills woman

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – A Paragould woman is killed in a three car accident late Wednesday night.

The accident happened on Country Club Road and Daniel Drive around 9:30 Wednesday night.

According to Arkansas State Police, Cody Lamb was attempting to pass another car when he hit the car he was passing in the rear, lost control and then entered the lane of oncoming traffic and hit a third car head-on.

ASP says Theresa Montero was the driver of the car the third car that was hit head-on and was killed in the accident. Police say she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

ASP says Lamb was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, and no word yet on if he'll face any charges.

The driver of the second car that was hit in the rear was not injured in the accident.
