SEC-Big East announce new series

Fayetteville ( - The Southeastern Conference and Big East will begin playing a basketball challenge next season.

The two leagues will meet 12 times from Dec. 1-3. Six games will be played at SEC home courts and six played at Big East home courts. The match-ups have yet to be determined.

The two leagues have met in a multi-site invitational the last four seasons. Arkansas beat Seton Hall in the SEC-Big East Invitational in Louisville, Ky., last week.
