FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT)- Three Region 8 women land in jail after a traffic stop yields drugs, and the vehicle of one of those arrested is linked to another incident.

On the night of Friday, December 17th an officer with the Forrest City Police Department made a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired tags.  According to the police report, after checking the vehicle over, three ounces of marijuana was found.

Police have charged 21-year-old Kierra Austin, 23-year-old Jessica Andrea Anthony and 23-year-old Angel Grady with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Anthony was also charged with endangering the welfare of a minor after two of her children were discovered in the vehicle.

That investigation is still on-going.

In a separate incident, on the December 2nd officers with the Forrest City Police tried to make a traffic stop on a vehicle belonging to Angel Grady.

According to Forrest City Police, the vehicle tried to elude police until it wrecked.  Driver 23-year-old Juan Cortez Oliver was taken into custody and passenger 33-year-old Shermonique Mona Oliver was injured and taken to a hospital.  Officers recovered about three grams of marijuana and a stolen pistol from the vehicle.

Oliver, who was not charged at the time of the incident, surrendered to police Monday, December 20th.  She was then charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and theft by receiving.
