SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Police in Sharp County have identified and arrested a man they say has been stealing air conditioning units around the county.

According to the Sharp County Sheriff's Department, Kenneth Kelly of Cherokee Village was identified and arrested in connection with several AC unit thefts.

Police say several of the air conditioning units were stolen from around the Hardy area. Police released surveillance photos of the man and his Ford F-150 truck and received tips that the man was Kelly.

Police Kelly may have been scrapping the metals and compressors in the units and going outside the Hardy/Sharp County area to cash in.

Kelly is charged with theft of property.
