Stabbing in Region 8 leaves one man in stable condition another under arrest

CARDWELL, MO (KAIT) – Police in Cardwell have arrested a person they say stabbed a man 5 times early Wednesday morning.

According to Cardwell Police Chief Anthony Parker, the stabbing happened around 1am Wednesday morning.

Parker says the victim was stabbed five times, and is in stable condition at a hospital. Police have not released the name of the victim or the location of the stabbing.

A suspect has been arrested in the stabbing, and that person is facing first degree assault and armed criminal action. Bond has been set at $100,000.

The suspect is in the Dunklin County Jail and police have not released the suspect's name.
