Region 8 man arrested for having drugs and guns

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - A Forrest City man is behind bars after police find marijuana and two guns in his possession at a local gas station.

According to the Forrest City Police Department, Napolean Marlowe Jr., 20, was arrested Wednesday night after police found ten individual bags of marijuana weighing a total of 8.9 grams.   Police say they also recovered a .38 caliber pistol and a .32 caliber pistol from Marlowe's pockets.

Marlowe had an outstanding warrant of arrest from St. Francis County and is a convicted felon, according to police.

Police have charged Marlowe with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver near certain facilities, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain persons (convicted felons) and failure to pay fines.
