New Orleans (SBC) - Arkansas State sophomore guard Trey Finn has been named this week's Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Finn led the Red Wolves to a 3-1 record over the holiday break, including a 2-0 start in conference play with wins over South Alabama and WKU. He averaged 15.3 points per game in those four contests while grabbing 6.0 rebounds per game. Against WKU, Finn put up the most dominant performance by an Arkansas State player leading ASU to an 81-73 victory over the Hilltoppers scoring 30 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
It was the second double-double of the sophomore guard's career and more than doubled his previous career-high in points scored. Finn posted double-digit scoring performances in all four games played during the break, after only breaking double-digits twice previously this season.
Finn is averaging 8.7 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. Finn has started all 15 games this season and has started every game played, 45-straight dating back to last season.
