CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – A man trying to sell prescription drugs, dials the wrong number and lands himself in jail.
According to the Caruthersville Police Department, around 8 p.m. Tuesday night a man dialed the wrong number and reached a Caruthersville Police Officer.
Police say the caller was trying to sell hydrocodone, and realizing the caller dialed the wrong number the police officer played along and asked the caller to meet him.
According to police, about 10 minutes later the 47-year-old man showed up at the meeting point with the pills in a cigarette pack. Police arrested the man, and have charged him with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
No names have been released pending formal charges.
