Name released in deadly domestic dispute in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police have released the name of the man involved in Monday's deadly domestic dispute in north Jonesboro.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department, 27-year-old Chester Homes was killed during a domestic dispute at 602 East Roseclair around noon Monday.

Police say Holmes and a 23-year-old woman got into a domestic dispute inside the home when the woman tried to leave. The woman made her way to a car outside, but Holmes then got in-between the driver's side door and the car where she couldn't close the door.

Police say the dispute continued and the woman put the car the car in reverse pinning Holmes behind the driver's side door, and rolled into a nearby tree where he was pinned.

Police say Holmes was transported to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Jonesboro Police still have not released the woman's name at this time. No one is in police custody or has been arrested, and police consider the case as an ongoing investigation.
